As brewers and distillers, this Special Release combines our two passions in a delightfully vibrant expression. We filled six quarter casks with our most full-flavoured beer, the mighty Jester IPA, and let the hoppy beer impart its character into the barrels before re-filling with finishing whisky. The resulting subtle tropical and citrus hop flavours beautifully complement the creamy smooth whisky to produce an easy-drinking, accessible expression. There are only 1248 bottles in this special release.
Presentation: Natural colour, non-chill filtered.
Cask types: Maturation – single-use, ex-bourbon, American oak quarter-casks, shaved, toasted and re-charred.
Finishing: Ex-IPA American oak quarter-casks.
Nose: Zesty citrus and a hint of fresh herbs; pineapple and tropical fruit.
Palate: Sweet biscuit backed by light mango, green apple and creamy vanilla.
Finish: Long and very smooth, gentle warmth, lingering caramel.
